A worker was killed after she was crushed inside a machine while working at a factory in Rajajinagar Industrial Town on Magadi Road on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Puttalingamma, 50, a resident of K P Agrahara. Police said Puttalingamma was standing close to a hydraulic power press machine used for manufacturing nuts and bolts, when a part of her saree got stuck in the machine accidentally. Within seconds, she was dragged into the machine and crushed.
Puttalingamma had gone to Mysore to attend the funeral of a her relative on Monday. She came to the factory on Tuesday directly from Mysore. She is survived by four sons and two of them work in the same factory.
