1 killed, 2 hurt in wall collapse

The deceased, Anjaneya (20) was from of Raichur. Eshappa and Basavaraju of Koppal are being treated at the hospital and are said to be out of danger. They were hired by a demolition contractor, Byrappa.

Man ends life
An alcoholic allegedly committed suicide at his house in Muneshwara Block in Mahalaxmi Layout Tuesday night. The deceased Hanumantha (43) was unemployed and was addicted to alcohol. His wife had also deserted him and had moved to her mother’s house in Tavarekere. A few months back, he was admitted to a de-addiction centre, but after returning home he relapsed. He was said to be depressed.

Youth killed in accident
A youth died in a road accident after a tipper lorry rammed into his bike near Seetaramapalya in Whitefield on Tuesday. The deceased, Mohammed Rafi (25), was an office assistant in a software company.

Ganja traffickers nabbed
Four persons were arrested for possessing ganja worth Rs 5 lakh in Kalasipalyam bus stand on Wednesday.

The arrested Basheer alias Bahsa (47), Ershad Pasha (32), Mokaram (44) and Imran (45) hail from Rajamundry in Andhra Pradesh. During interrogation, they said they brought the consignment from V Kote and were pushing it in the city. A bike, ganja and some cash were also seized from the gang.
