Your regular Sabbath has just become more interesting... Thanks to the nip in the air and a variety of restaurants dishing out Sunday brunch. The good thing is that brunch has become bigger than ever before and is no longer restricted to some exclusive five-star. Metrolife scans the most interesting yet economical ones in the City.

Spaghetti Kitchen in Gurgaon offers ‘The Classic Italian Sunday Brunch’ with a lavish Italian spread that includes live pizza and pasta counter, salad counter and cheese platter. For vegetarians, the starters and main course includes Risotto, grilled vegetables, any baked item and vegetables with sauce and non vegetarians can choose from chicken, lamb or fish. The buffet also comprises of ice creams and a variety of desserts such as Sizzling Chocolate Brownie, Tiramisu and Chocolate Bomb. This will charge you around Rs 699 per person. With one of the largest buffet spreads in the City, the sinners here don’t need to be guilty, as the assorted menu includes Prawn Peri Peri, Aranchini with Tomato Salsa, Assorted Courgettes with Cous Ccous Salad, Mutton Roganjosh, Chicken Makhni, Vegetable au Gratin and Kadhai Paneer.

And if you thought the experience was limited to only food here, check again as they have a live band that sings on special request. A meal here will cost you Rs 700 per person.

Cocoa by Belgique at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, is another place to be if you are looking out for a European Sunday brunch. The delectable delicacies are available at a pocket friendly price of Rs 600 per person. The offerings start with a selection of salads like Cocoa Greek Salad, Fattoush Salad and Caesar Salad with Chicken. The main course features non vegetarian and vegetarian gastronomic delights like Chicken Steak, Grilled River Sole with Lemon Oregano Sauce, Fish and Chips, Pink Mushroom with Parsely Rice, Country Cheese Steak and Multi Mushroom Stroganoff.

There is also a pasta counter to serve you unlimited portions of pasta and in addition to this, the meal is complimented with a glass of wine or beer pint or your choice of mocktail. You can also satisfy your sweet cravings with desserts like Chocolate Truffle and Cheese Cake. Chef Rajendra Chabotra says, “Sunday brunch should always be high on nutrition, easy to digest and scrumptious to eat and that is what our menu aims at.”

Another option to kick-start your Sunday with family and friends is Drift at Epicentre, Gurgaon, which offers a well-balanced spread of cuisines that range from European to Continental and Mughlai to the ever popular Tex-Mex. The huge spread of Italian and Continental cuisines include an amalgamation of juices, cereals, bakery products, assorted bread basket, a variety of soups and salads, South Indian delights, bacon, creamy mushrooms, potato cashewnut croquettes and a sumptuous list of desserts that comprises of Chocolate Walnut Pudding, vanilla ice cream, assorted fresh fruits and Phirni. One can enjoy a meal here for Rs 555 per person and make your Sunday memorable.
