Now, his grandsons, director Arvind and hero Avinash Diwakar, have come forward with Jugari.
No, Jugari is not based on the famous Poornachandra Tejaswi novel but is the new name of the film earlier called Bylaw, for which the shooting is complete.
Arvind, who has directed plays, has made a film on a subject that is “not bound to any formula, like romancing the heroine and fighting villains”.

“Jugari is a comment on today’s society with a dash of humour,” is how Arvind puts it. Hero Avinash, a CKP product has worked backstage in theatre productions like Jokumaraswamy.
Avinash, who suffered from calcium deficiency in his childhood, has taken care of that problem to act opposite Harshika Poonacha, who is pursuing her engineering course, despite offers pouring in. Actors B Suresh and Sharath Lohitashwa liked the story by producer G R Ramesh, though Suresh was a bit irked at the cinematographer for the time taken for lighting.

But now, he is amazed at the results. The first print of Jugari will be ready by the end of this month and will probably be released sometime next month.
