<p>A Delhi Police constable was accidentally shot and injured by one of his colleagues at Mehrauli in south Delhi, police said on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The injured, identified as, Anil Kumar is posted as a gunman in a police control room (PCR) van of Mehrauli police station with head constable Niranjan Lal and constable Jagdev.<br /><br />“They were on routine patrol near Qutub Minar at around 8.30 pm on Saturday when Jagdev’s gun accidentally went off,” a senior police official.<br /><br />According to Niranjan, who was standing outside the PCR van at the time of the incident, Anil and Jagdev were sitting inside the car.<br /><br />“Suddenly I heard a gun shot and saw Anil bleeding profusely. We rushed him to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Trauma Center,” Niranjan said.<br /><br />Anil’s condition is said to be critical, but stable. <br /><br />Jagdev has admitted that he accidently shot Anil. The examination confirms that a bullet is missing from his gun.<br /><br />A case was registered against Jagdev at Mehrauli police station over a complaint filed by Niranjan.</p>
