Cong celebrations continue

The victorious Congress continued to celebrate its most cherished success by organising vehicle rallies, bursting crackers and distributing sweets here on Thursday.

Festive mood prevailed for the second consecutive day as Congress workers took out a huge bike rally form Malpe to Udupi that jammed traffic for some time. It was celebrations everywhere.

Jubilant Congress workers shouted party slogans and also put up party buntings everywhere. District Congress office has shed its earlier tedious and pale look. It seems as though the entire structure is revamped with the tint of joy and success.

Congress workers’ celebrations were indeed colorful and jovial. The huge vehicle rally started from Elluru Mogaveera hall and passed through Malpe harbour, Kalmady, service bus stop, Kadiyali, Manipal and ended at Malpe shore.

The rally was led by youth Congress leader Pramodh Madhwaraj.

Winning candidate Jayaprakash Hegde was taken in an open jeep. Several two-wheelers and four-wheelers took part in the procession.
