A delegation of the BJP ministers and legislators from Karnataka met the party central leaders here on Sunday, appealing them to end the political imbroglio in the State unit of the party at the earliest.

The delegation comprising Primary Education Minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Labour Minister Bachegowda, legislators Aravind Limbavali, Veeranna Charantimath, Abhay Patil, Srikant Kulkarni and Doddanna Patil met L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu and Ananth Kumar.

After the meeting, Bachegowda told the mediapersons that they had requested the senior leaders to find solutions to the internal bickerings in the party at the earliest.

They said the leaders would soon announce the solution. However, none of the senior leaders divulged the details of the solution they are said to be working out.

Seek no change in guard

The delegation has asked the party to give former chief minister Yeddyurappa a suitable position to utilise his popularity to strengthen the party. It also urged the leaders not to replace the incumbent chief minister, D V Sadananda Gowda and president K S Eshwarappa.

“We have told the party leaders that if the incumbent chief minister and party president are replaced, it would give a wrong message to public,” he said.
