Karnataka Legislative Council Member Captain Ganesh Karnik has promised the teachers of solving the wage discrimination problem at the earliest.

Inaugurating the teacher’s conference and seminar organised under the aegis of Paryaya Sode Math and District Aided School Teachers’ Association, at Udupi Rajangana recently, Karnik said that there are several problems faced by the teachers, which need immediate attention and wage discrimination is one of them. “Government will resolve the same at the earliest,” he said.

Karnik said that there is no need of building new schools but sometimes opening new schools might be necessary depending on the local population. “If we provide same kind of facilities to Kannada medium schools as provided in private schools, the number of students will increase,” he opined adding that there should not be any inferiority complex among Kannada medium students as they are equally good and competent enough like  English medium students.

ZP President Katapadi Shankar Poojari presided . Aided School Teachers’ Association State President Kurkalu Dinakara Shetty was also present.
