A Norwegian of Indian origin was on Thursday found dead in a south Delhi hotel with police suspecting that he committed suicide after consuming sleeping pills.
Valentino Rebello, who is residing in Norway, had checked into Roma Deluxe hotel yesterday 6 am and was found dead in his room at around 12:30 pm today, police said.
Rebello, whose father Akshay Jain resides in Vasant Kunj, had shut his door last night around 8:30 pm and hotel employees got suspicious as he did not come out till noon.
They informed police who broke open the door and found him lying in bed in an unconscious state.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
"We have recovered sleeping pills, pain killers, injections and syringes from the room," a senior police official said.
The body has been sent for post mortem.
