<p>The trio — Executive Engineer Narasimharaju, Assistant Executive Engineer T S Lokesh Kumar and Assistant Engineer Santhosh Kumar — were arrested after the Lokayukta sleuths found property disproportionate to their known source of income.<br /><br />Speaking to Deccan Herald, Lokayukta in-charge SP Sadanand Varnekar said that the seized property is yet to be valued.<br /><br />It may be recalled that the Lokayukta sleuths had found 10 blank cheques from the engineers after contractor Haji Hameed filed a complaint against the engineers that the officers had taken his cheque book and pass book and the they were withdrawing money as and when they need.<br /><br />Stolen<br />Some unindetified miscreants gained entry into a house and decamped with property worth Rs 85,000 at Vas Lane in Mangalore. <br />The house belonged to a certain Mohammed Fayaz Pahad. The stolen articles include Acer Aspire Laptop, a Rado watch, gold ornaments and Rs 5,000 in cash.</p>
