They have also appealed to the Palike to allow them to adopt a BBMP-run school in Austin Town for the welfare of the children studying there. The Association also sought the Palike’s help in conducting cultural and physical activities for the children of the retired personnel.

Clear encroachment
During a routine inspection of the Govindrajnagar Assembly constituency, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Commissioner, Bharath Lal Meena asked his officials to clear the encroachments along the Saraswathinagar park at the earliest.
He has instructed the authorities to ensure that the CHBS playground in the vicinity to be fenced and cleared. Meena also directed the engineers to ensure that all storm water drains and roads are maintained.
