Being late for his own wedding proved costly for a groom as he and his relatives were beaten up by irked family members of the bride who was married off to another person.
Groom Jameel was to marry Nagma on Thursday at 10:30 am in Muradnagar, police said on Friday. However, Jameel and his relatives reached at 6:00 pm following which the angry family members of the bride beat them up.
The mess was stopped by police and after which Nagma was wedded to another youth.
