<p>"Most of those who died in the incident lost their lives due to suffocation and head injuries," a senior official at Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) Hospital here said.<br /><br />The five girls who died have been identified as Lalita Nagar, Mamta, Ayesha, Asha and Afroz, hospital authorities said.<br /><br />They were studying in different classes in the Government Senior Secondary School in Khajuri Khas.<br /><br />27 other students were injured out of which the condition of six is stated to be "very critical", they said.<br /><br />GTB Medical Superintendent O P Kalra said, "Five students are on life support system while others are relatively stable and conscious and are being attended by neuro-surgeons and orthopaedic surgeons.</p>
