AMC Engineering College is conducting an inter-collegiate cultural festival ‘Ecstasy 2012’ on April 25. The fest will have something for all, there will be technical, sports as well as cultural events at the fest.

Along with all this, stunt group ‘Ghost Ryderz’ will perform at the cultural programme along with the dance group ‘Hip Hop India’ from 5.30 pm.  The tickets are prized at Rs 150 per person.The technical round will have events like web designing, graphic designing, computer assembling etc.

The cultural show will have solo dance, group dance fashion show, duet singing and solo singing. Off-stage events will have sketching and tattooing.

Those who are good at sports can also test their skills as there will be events like mini-football, tug of war, fish the coin, snakes and ladders, maze graze and many more. For details, call 8123300525.


‘Vibez — 12’, the intercollegiate cultural and technical festival of Sambhram Institute of Technology, will be held on April 27 and 28. It is open to all VTU-affiliated engineering colleges, and around 2,000 students from across the City are expected to participate in it.

The first day of the event includes a brief inauguration ceremony, after which there will sporting events such as volleyball, throwball and ‘galli’ cricket, followed by a singing competition, a gaming competition, a collage event, ‘Debugging, a ‘rangoli’-designing event, ‘antakshari’, face-painting, quizzes, ‘Mad Ads’, a solo dance competition, an event to judge the best manager, as well as an aero-modelling event.

 On the second day, there will be another round of ‘anthakshari’, ‘CAD Modelling’, a pagaent called ‘Mr and Miss Vibez’, a rock show, web-designing, a group dance and a fashion show. The fest concludes with a DJ night.


The annual day celebration of JSS Academy of Technical Education, ‘Verve’, will be held from April 26 to April 28. The fest will have a combination of sports , cultural as well as academic events. Events like programming, photography, mini-soccer, mini-cricket, on-the-spot painting, English debate, skit, mock IPL etc will be held.

The cultural programme will have events like solo dance, solo singing, elocution in Kannada, caricature and ‘Style Quotient’. The management events include business quiz, financial management, an event based on marketing, human resource, paper presentation and best manager.

The college band ‘Aarohi’ and Neeraj Sridhar, a popular playback singer, will perform from 6 pm onwards. Students are looking forward to a lot of fun and good competition from the participating colleges.


MVJ College of Engineering will be hosting their inter-collegiate cultural fest, ‘Swayam’, on April 27 and 28, in the college campus near ITPB, Channasandra.

It will have the theme ‘Incredible India’. As many as 3,500 participants from across the City will participate in the event.

Some of the events that will be conducted are Indian vocal recital, painting, photography, which are all individual events, while ‘Battle of Bands’, ‘Mad Ads’ and dance, among others will be team competitions.

For those who are inclined towards sports, there will also be events like ‘Tug of War’, ‘Water Football’ and ‘Amazing Race’ — a game that tests the strong and the quick.

Adding to the competitive streak of the participants, there is an individual event called ‘Bhukha-Sura’.  This is an eating competition which will involve consuming a large amount of ‘surprise’ items at the participants own risk.
