JOIN USMysore District Bridge Association in collaboration with Cosmopolitan Club and the Bridge Federation of India has organised Karnataka State bridge championship from April 27 to 29, said secretary of club and convener of tournament S Hirannaiah.
Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, he said, the tournament is organised to commemorate golden jubilee year of Karnataka State Bridge Association. The particular tournament is recognised as a national event by The Bridge Federation of India and about 300 participants from all over India are expected to participate.
The three-day event comprises of Swiss league-team of four, pair event, board A match and IMP pairs events. Four prizes in each division would be given, he added.
Secretary of club Rangaswamy said, bridge game is a mental ability game similar to chess.
Top ranked teams from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra have enrolled besides top teams from Karnataka.
Vice president of club Dhanyakumar, bridge association president G N Murthy and vice president M S Sudarshan were present.
