Raising the issue in the meeting, member P G Manjaiah alleged that the Animal Husbandry Department has not identified beneficiaries as per the guidelines given in the Vidarbha package and hence there should be a probe.
Responding to the urge, the meet felt that the officials should strictly follow the instructions of Vidarbha package while listing out beneficiaries for their schemes.
Members also criticised the functioning of Horticulture Department for improper distribution of pepper creepers under the pepper area extension scheme.
The provisions of orange development scheme has reached only some areas such as Makonahalli, Nandipura and Gonibeedu. They should be made available in all parts of the taluk, urged member Prabhakar.
The meeting appealed the Social Welfare Officer to release special grants to solve drinking water woes of Daradahalli Hostel. Member Uggihalli Rudraiah advised the schools to print elected representatives’ names as per protocol in their programme invitations.
