We thank them," he said.<br /><br />Noida-based businessman Moninder Singh Pandher,55, was today acquitted by the Court which, however, upheld the death sentence awarded to his 33-year-old domestic help Surinder Koli by the special CBI court in Ghaziabad.<br /><br />The court, on February 13 this year, had awarded death sentence to both Pandher and Koli in connection with the rape and murder of 14-year-old Rimpa Haldar. Karandeep then moved to the Allahabad High Court.<br /><br />Karandeep said: We had faith in the judiciary. Despite the lower court decision, we continue to fight and at last the truth prevailed.<br /><br />"We expect the same results in other cases too and based on today's decision, we will decide our future course of actions in other cases,"he said.<br /><br />The abduction, rape and murder of Rimpa Haldar took place on February 8, 2005.</p>
