The Jayarama Seva Mandali is organising a three-day event to mark lexicographer G Venkatasubbaiah’s 100th birthday celebrations this August.
Addressing the media in the City on Thursday, Prof GV’s Birthday Celebrations Reception Committee Secretary M V Dayashankar Sharma said the focus of the event from August 25 to 27 will be the achievements of Prof G V, who turns 100 on August 23.
Governor H R Bhardwaj, Kannada and Culture Minister Govind Karjol, Jnanapith awardees and several other prominent personalities will participate in the event. The event will be held at Mandali’s auditorium in Jayanagar.
