»Saroja is a native of a tribal settlement near Megur village of Koppa taluk while Suresh hails from Mudigere taluk.
It was reported that the duo were arrested by Shimoga police near Hosadurga and were subjected to inquiry in the City. Speaking to media persons, the SP has dismissed the reports as rumour.
Meeting on drinking water supply
»Minister for Urban Development Suresh Kumar has convened a meeting of commissioners of seven city corporations in the State on May 20 to discuss issue of drinking water supply, reports DHNS from Bangalore.
The meeting will discuss ways to mitigate drinking water shortage if any in the jurisdictions coming under the city corporations.
The status of progress of various drinking water schemes will also be discussed, the minister said.
