Graduation can be a fairly emotional experience for many college students — on one hand, they are finally getting a chance to enter a new phase in their lives and step into the real world but on the other, they have to bid adieu to their college mates and teachers. In honour of this occasion, Acharya Institute of Technology organised a grand send-off for the final-year engineering and MBA students.

The seniors, juniors and faculty members came together to make it a day worth remembering. Given that it was one of their last occasions in college, the students ensured that they were dressed in their best.

Even the juniors put their best foot forward, decking themselves in colourful dresses. The seniors, on the other hand, wore the traditional blue graduation robes and a smart golden cap to mark the farewell.

Many students came with cameras, clicking pictures with each other so as to save memories for later. Once the actual programme began, they took a brief oath — in which they promised to do justice to their careers and progress in every way possible.

Each and every one of the final-year students was awarded a course completion certificate, which they received with a lot of pride.

Raviteja, a final-year mechanical engineering student, admits that this was one of the best and most memorable experiences of her life. “It is one of the most wonderful days of my life and I will never forget this moment. It’s so nice to be here with all my friends,” gushes the student.

The MBA students were equally emotional. Archana, who also graduates, spoke nostalgically about her days in college.

“I surely will miss these days. Last year, I hosted the graduation ceremony for my seniors and today, I’m here to receive my post-graduation certificate. I’ll cherish this moment forever,” she says.

The occasion ended with a vote of thanks, after which the students went back to
interacting with each other and saying their goodbyes.  It was indeed a memorable occasion.
