Worker killed in mishap

A labourer was killed in a mishap during the demolition of an old house on Tuesday, at Ramamohanapura.

Stephen Raju (22), a resident of Sriramapura, was a part of the team engaged in the demolition of a house belonging to Venkatakrishna.

Stephen and other labourers were demolishing a wall on the first floor. He was trying to shovel the debris to the ground floor, when he lost his balance and fell down. Stephen suffered severe head injuries was rushed to K­ C General Hospital. He was shifted to St John’s Hospital, where he died in the evening.
