Hindustan Aeronautics Sports Club (HASC) and Army Service Corps (ASC) dished out a disappointing performance for a strong Sunday crowd, playing out a goalless draw in the BDFA Super Division league match at the Bangalore Football stadium here.

The game was marked by quite a number of missed opportunities for both the teams.
ASC had the first shot on goal in the eighth minute when Nitesh Barailly broke through from the left before firing wide.

In the 20th minute, HASC’s Vinod Kumar dribbled past couple of defenders but was not able to put the ball past ASC custodian Shantanu Kar.

Satish Kumar had an opportunity to slam the opening goal for HASC when he went clear off a through ball from Karthigeyan in the 26th minute. Satish, however, smashed the ball straight into Kar’s hands. Jotin Singh almost opened the account for ASC in the 30th minute with a fine header but the ball just sailed over.

Yet another chance went abegging for the Army outfit through a header, Ramachandran’s attempt flying over the crosspiece in the 41st minute.

After the break, HASC looked the more lively side, cutting through ASC defence regularly.
In the 63rd minute, RC Prakash raised the hopes of HASC supporters with a free kick from the edge of the box but the ball was punched away to safety by Kar.

ASC’s Deepak Panth then struck a shot from the right but HASC custodian Amar Deb made a brilliant save. Aroj Saikh, who came in for Ganga Bahadur in the 80th minute, fired a long-ranger three minutes from time but, unfortunately, the ball hit the post.
Other result: ‘A’ Division: Bangalore Mars: 1 (Deepak 8th) bt LRDE: 0.
