JOIN USThe BWSSB which has taken up the maintenance work on the Cauvery I, II, III and IV stages has allayed the fears of total stoppage of water supply for three days and said supply would resume in areas scheduled to get water on Tuesday.
T Venkataraju, Engineer-In-Chief, BWSSB, said the stages I and II would be shutdown at 10 am on Tuesday but the supply would resume after 8 pm, the same day. Hence, areas like Kumaraswamy Layout, Padmanabhanagar, Banashankari, Shakambarinagar, VV Puram, National College-Basavanagudi, Chamarajpet, Mysore Road, Byrasandra, Jayanagar, Ulsoor, MG Road and surrounding areas will receive water after 8 pm.
Similarly, the stage III will be shutdown at 10 am but water supply will resume after 10 pm. Areas like Malleswaram, Yeshwantpur, RT Nagar, High Grounds and surrounding areas. City Market, Majestic, Chiklalbagh, Bashyam Park, High Ground Reservoir, Coles Park, Banappa Park, Sudhamanagar, Indiranagar, HAL all stages, Old Airport Road and surrounding areas will get water 10 pm onwards.
Cauvery Stage IV will be shut down at 10 am and the supply will resume only on Wednesday morning.
The areas such as BTM Layout, JP Nagar, Kothanur, Bommanahalli, Madivala, HSR Layout, Koramangala, Marathahalli, HAL, ITPL, Vijaynagar, Chandra Layout, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri, Yelahanka, Hegganahalli, Nagarabhavi, Nandini Layout, Yelahanka and surrounding areas will receive water supply only on Wednesday morning, Venkataraju said.
However, the supply timings may vary depending on the execution of the maintenance work, he added.
