An officer of the Indian Air Force and two members of his family were killed in an accident when the car they were travelling by collided with a tanker on National Highway - 9 near Basavakalyan Tuesday morning.
Amith Kotharia, 32, based in Hyderabad, his wife Durga Kotharia, 26, and their children Ram, 1, and Dhruv, 3, were on their way to Hyderabad from Pune when the accident occurred.
Kotharia, a native of New Delhi, his wife and Ram were killed on the spot while Dhruv escaped with minor injuries.
Basavakalyan traffic police have registered a case.
