The art of faking it!

Do you worry about how your face looks like after a hard night’s partying or spending a sleepless night?

There are a few tricks that can ease the look and help you fake it. For those swollen eyes, splash icy water or soak a washcloth in witch hazel with ice and place it on the face for about fifteen minutes until the cloth becomes warm.  Or better still, spritz some lavender spray and follow it with a moisturiser.

Now to hide those dark circles that are a sure tell tale of what you were up to the previous night.

Pick a yellow-based concealer rather than a pinkish one. Pat the area with your fingertips and ensure that you blend well, and then apply a foundation if required. Go easy on the foundation as you don’t want to highlight the flaws by applying a little too much of it.

Now, while applying the eyeliner, use it sparingly, and apply the mascara only on the upper lids and lashes. If you use make up along the lower eye, there is a tendency to smear and cast shadows. Concentrate the eye shadow and the eyeliner on the centre third of the lid to make it seem rounder.

Pick shadows that are pastel or pale neutrals and a warm blush and lipstick — peachy and rosy shades are preferred to dark plums, and browns.

If you think you are not the type to bother and fuss too much, apply a liberal coat of mascara and shocking red lipstick. This is an instant perk up and never known to fail.
These tricks should help you fool anyone!
