JOIN USThe police have arrested a person in connection with a riot case in Udaygiri in 2009. The arrested is 52-year-old Krishna alias Director Krishna, a resident of Kyathamaranahalli.
Three warrants had been issued against Krishna in connection with the communal violence. However, he had been absconding for a long time.
Two other cases of cheating had been lodged against Krishna. He had allegedly promised Mangalagowri of Udaygiri that he would get her a role as a journalist in a movie.
He had taken Rs 30,000 from her, promising the role. In another case, he had promised Kumar, a youth from Bangalore, a role as a hero in a film and taken Rs 50,000.
However, when the films didn’t materialise, a complaint had been filed against him. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
