Corruption in desilting of tanks: Datta

Addressing media persons here on Thursday, he said the officials of Minor Irrigation and other departments are involved in corruption in association with some political leaders.
The act of offering pooja at Bababudangiri in the presence of District-in-Charge Minister K S Eshwarappa and the DC, is contempt of court.

 JD(S) leaders in Chikmagalur district have filed a contempt of court case in the High Court in this connection, he said.

“Though there is a clear order that no pooja rituals should be conducted at the controversial Bababudangiri, the minister and the district administration have offered pooja in the name of construction works,” he informed. The party will fight for dragging them to the court in this regard, he said.

A sum of Rs 5 crore has been granted to Kadur TMC.

A park will be developed near the pump house for the advantage of the general public. Priority will be given for the development of the town’s roads, he said.

TMC former president Bhandary Srinivas, JD(S) leader Gangadhar Naika and TMC members were present.
