Suspicious object found near Light House

A suspicious object resembling a rocket launcher was today found behind the Light House on the Marina Beach here, police said.

"It was found just behind the Madras Light House campus and a few hundred metres away from the Light House Police Station," they said.

Investigations were on to ascertain the nature of the object and how it surfaced in the locality which was opposite to the state police headquarters.
