'Opposition unnecessarily making issue over Dattapeeta'

Addressing a news conference at the residence of BJP leader K H A Prasanna on Friday, he said that a sum of Rs 2.9 crore has been sanctioned by the government to carry out repair works in the cave.

 Hence, a formal prayer was offered as per the rituals and the Opposition made this a issue. “BJP had sat on the seat of opposition for the past 25 years but we never stooped to this level and played this kind of cheap politics,” he said.

When questioned if developmental works are lagging behind due to financial crunch, he said that since lot of works are being taken up concurrently, it may seem so at an outset but everything is being managed well at the administrative level. Substantiating this, he said that BJP government in the State has been ranked 7th position in the nation with regard to execution of developmental works, which is an achievement in itself.  He suggested the opposition to give up unnecessary criticism.
