Last Updated 18 September 2009, 18:15 IST

Abhishek led the charge with a one-under 71, while Rashid Khan and Pawan Kumar returned identical three-over 75 to help the Indian team total five-over for the day, which was their best showing by a considerable margin.

The fourth member of the team, Karan Vasudeva, shot 79.

With a total of 55-over for the week, the Indians never had a shot at the title and in the end, finished 73 strokes adrift of the winners. South Korea capped off an incredible run through the week with a nine-under for the day, to help them total 18-under for the week -- a whopping 22 shots ahead of second-placed Chinese Taipei team.

Despite Abhishek’s under-par score for the day, it was Rashid Khan who finished as the best Indian in the individual standings, ending his campaign tied for 27th place.
Abhishek’s performance helped him move up to 30th place.

Korea’s CW Han finished on top of the pack followed by compatriot MH Kim.
