After winning an Oscar, Cruz has now won the Best actress award at ALMA for her performance as Maria Elena in 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona', reported Aceshowbiz.
'Frida' star Hayek was given the Anthony Quinn Award for Industry Excellence at the gala ceremony held at the Royce Hall Auditorium at UCLA on Thursday night. It was co-hosted by actress Eva Longoria alongside comedian George Lopez.

Actor John Leguizamo was named the best actor for his portrayal of Mauricio Rodriguez drama comedy 'Nothing Like the Holidays' at the ceremony, which celebrates the achievements of Hispanic artists in film, television and music. Vampire saga 'Twilight' collected two prizes -- one for make-up artist Jeanne Van Phue and the other one for hair stylist Mary Ann Valdes.

Other winners on the night included Oscar Nunez, who was named best comedy actor for 'The Office', and Selena Gomez, who scooped best comedy actress for her part in Disney Channel's 'Wizards of Waverly Place'.
