Shiv Kapur recovered from an indifferent start to return a card of even-par 71 that kept him in with a chance of a good finish at the Alstom Open de France golf tournament here.

Kapur hit three bogeys in six holes from fourth to the ninth, but a third round 71 eventually saved the Indian’s day.

Kapur is now one-under 212 for three rounds and lying tied 13th.
Jeev Milkha Singh, who was tied eighth on the first day, is now tied 46th after rounds of 74 and 75 on second and third days. He is four-over 217 for three days.

Meanwhile, David Howell (67) and Anders Hansen (69) share the lead heading into the final round.

Atwal slips India’s Arjun Atwal may have survived the cut, but he dropped further down to tied 71st position at the end of the third round of Greenbrier Classic golf tournament in White Sulphur Springs.

Atwal, who made the cut even as big names like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson missed it, shot a third round of two-over 72 on Saturday and is now one-over after three rounds.
