JOIN USNav-neeth AR posted a 3-1 win over Shreyal K Telang to claim the youth boys’ title in the 44th Canara Union State-ranking table tennis tournament at the Prakash Courts on Monday.
Navneeth, who had defeated VP Charan in the semifinals, scored a 11-6, 12-10, 11-6, 11-8 win over Telang.
In the corresponding girls’ category, Maitreyee Bailoor scored a hard-fought 7-11, 12-10, 12-10, 15-13, 11-7 win over BS Arpitha to claim the girls’ crown. Shreyas Kulkarni and MV Spoorthy bagged the boys’ and girls’ titles in the sub-junior category with wins over RB Rakshith (12-10, 11-7, 11-6) and Priya Rao (4-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-2) respectively.
