'Dattamaladharane on Sept 28'

Addressing a press conference here, Puthila said that the ‘Dattamala’ ceremony will be held at the Kadri Jogi Mutt in Mangalore on the same day. Devotees will commence their journey towards Dattapeeta on October 3, he added.

Puthila warned that the Datta homa ritual will be performed in front the Treasury building, where the ‘Datta Paduke’ have been kept, if it was not brought to the Peeta on October 4.
Puthila said that Sri Guru Dattathreya Thapobhoomi, the holy shrine of Hindus, has been caught in the clutches of ‘Islamisation’. The Sene will fight to free the Peeta from the trap of Islamisation, he said and urged that Hindus should be allowed to perform poojas and other rituals without any conditions at the shrine.

Puthila said that the promises of protecting Indians in Australia given by the Union Ministry of External Affairs proved empty when more Indians are beaten up on racial grounds.

Condemning the attack on Indians, Puthila said that the government should warn the Australian government sternly. “Government should build political pressure against Australia in the United Nations Organisations,” he demanded. Measures should be taken to rehabilitate all Indians who are pursuing higher education in Australia, he added. Sene leaders Madhu Urwastore, Sudath Jain and Ravi Puttur were present.
