MLA Raghupathy Bhat said dissatisfaction among BJP leaders in this area for not giving cabinet berth to Kundapur MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty is short lived. He added that he was asked by Haladi Srinivas Shetty himself to withdraw his resignation letter and discuss the issue with the leaders.

Speaking to media persons, the MLA said that he has no qualms against Kota Srinivas Poojary becoming the minister. He whole heartedly will support him in all development works. The MLA said that Haladi Srinivas Shetty’s decision to resign is a temporary conclusion that emerged out of the frustration and anger. However, he will not take back his resignation, but will stay in the party.

All leaders will meet and solve the issue by another two days, he added. Stating that there were misconceptions among the leaders in delivering the messages, Bhat said although the issue is over, there is a strong opinion that party leaders should have properly communicated before taking any decision.

Party leaders including Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar have tried to pacify Haladi. “I also feel that Kota Srinivas Poojary should have spoken and convinced Haladi Srinivas Shetty before accepting the post and sought his approval”.

He also condemned the burning of BJP flag by Haladi’s supporters. He declared that everyone in the party will bow to the decision taken by the party high command and will join hands towards state’s development. The MLA also said that the issue is over and everyone will bury the discontent. BJP is a family, he added and declined to comment over the causes behind declining ministerial post to Haladi Srinivas Shetty.
