A Deputy Superintendent of Police in Tamil Nadu was today arrested by Vigilance and Anti-Corruption personnel for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 for issuing a police verification certificate to a private educational trust.
On a complaint, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Police set up a trap and arrested DSP Selvamani of Lalgudi Division after he accepted chemically treated currencies, police said.
Police also raided the DSP's house at Lalgudi but no seizures were made, they said.
