Double for Telang

Shreyal K Telang of BNM clinched the Youth boys’ title in the Karnataka State-ranking table tennis tournament, overwhelming club-mate Navneeth AR 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8 in the final here on Monday.

Telang then pocketed the Junior boys’ trophy, cruising past Shreyas Kulkarni 11-5, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8 in the title-decider.

Non-medalist singles: Siddanth Prabhu bt Akshay Basava 11-3, 11-8, 12-10. Youth boys: Shreyal K Telang (BNM) bt Navneeth AR (BNM) 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8.  Junior boys: Shreyal K Telang bt Shreyas Kulkarni (Star) 11-5, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8. 

Women’s singles: Arpitha BS (OMTTI) bt Aishwarya R Bidri (BNM) 2-11, 13-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-4.  Youth girls: Maitreyee Bailoor (BTTA) bt Arpitha BS 11-9, 4-11, 11-6, 7-11, 11-4, 11-6. Junior girls: Maitreyee Bailoor  bt Madhurya Manjunath (HTTA) 12-10, 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.
