However, you don’t have to bid adieu to your cosmetics. All you have to do this season is choose the right make-up. Freelance make-up artiste, Sonia Keer Dhawan says, “During the rains, thick make-up gets soiled or washed away. So, stick to light and sheer make-up,’’ she explains. “Make sure you apply waterproof mascara, water eyeliners, water-proof foundation and transfer resistant lip colours,” she says.
Blue and black kajal pencils are in this season. When it comes to eye-shadow, go for the smoky look for the night. You can wear the cat liner or the winged liner as an alternative to eye shadow during the day. “I usually don’t step out of the house without wearing kajal and mascara. I make sure I use a waterproof kajal and mascara during the rainy season,” explains Janet. If you are willing to let go of one cosmetic, it should be the eyebrow pencil. Just keep the eyebrows in shape. One can opt for loose face power instead of foundation to remove the grease on the face. Light shades of pink and orange in blushes are highly recommended for the monsoon season. Keep the creamy and glossy lipsticks aside this season. A resistant lipstick or a lip balm can serve your purpose of keeping it simple.
