Ban orders in Mangalore

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 has been clamped in the city limits in the backdrop of the attack on youth in the home stay. 

The  Mangalore City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh and the District Magistrate in a joint statement, have ordered that the prohibitory orders will be in force from July 29, 6 am to July 31, 6 pm. 

The prohibitory orders have been clamped to avoid any untoward incidents, keeping in mind a few past incidents where group fights had led to deaths and property loss. 

No public meeting and processions will be allowed till the prohibitory order is taken back.

Accordingly, the public have been asked not to form a group of four or more people and assemble in a place, according to a release from the office of the Mangalore City Police Commissioner.
