<p>Congress MLA Krishna Byregowda on Tuesday accused the State government of violating norms by allotting 10 acres of prime land in Byatarayanapura, near Bengaluru International Airport, to a prominent builder in lieu of constructing an Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) yard.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Raising the matter in the Legislative Assembly, Byregowda said the government had acquired 30 acres of land from farmers to construct a state-of-the-art APMC. <br /><br />The State government recently had entered into an agreement with the builder, wherein 10 acres of the said land would be given to the developer on a 60-year lease. In return, the builder would construct the APMC yard at a cost of Rs 105 crore on the remaining 20 acre land. However, Byregowda did not name the builder. </p>
