To nurture young minds JD Institute of Fashion Technology organised its orientation programme for B.Sc and M.Sc batches of 2012-14 for the Delhi Centre, at Siri Fort recently.
Newcomers were welcomed by faculty members and directors of the institute with motivational speeches. A welcome skit had also been prepared by senior JDians showcasing the three year journey of their splendid world of creativity and knowledge.
The programme began with Saraswati vandana and lighting of the lamp by directors and faculty members.
R. C. Dalal, Executive Director welcomed the students and apprised them of the rules and regulations and also shared the importance of knowledge required to be successful professionals in the world of fashion.
The students were briefed on the courses emphasising the need of value addition, creativity and innovation in order to attain excellence in the professional arena.
Dalal also shared with the young fashionistas that the “personality reflects through what you wear, that’s how you communicate through fashion and that is what we teach. What each one of you will learn and do here is what the fashion industry desires.”
Senior JDians also welcomed the newcomers in their own style by showcasing the three year journey through a skit.
The programme concluded with an interaction with the parents assuring them that the institute would do its best for their children and would be acting as a career guardian.
