<p><br />»The State government will launch ‘Arogya Dasoha’ - health checkup camps in 10 districts from August 15, reports DHNS from Mysore.</p>.<p> The programme will be taken up initially in the districts which have government medical colleges and research centres, Minister of Medical Education S A Ramdas said on Monday.Government hospital doctors, Asha workers and auxillary nursing midwives will identify and treat patients suffering from diabetes, haemoglobin deficiency and cardiac problems. “A team of doctors from the medical research centres will be deputed to villages. If required, surgery will also be conducted. Families of the below poverty line category will be given free treatment and others will be treated at a 50 per cent subsidy,” he said.The scheme will be launched on a pilot basis on August 11 at Nanjanagudu in Mysore. Nurses, ANM and Asha workers have already identified 1,150 patients for the treatment at the camp. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></p>
