Krishna to take on Castelino in final

Castelino ousted tournament favourite Prakash Jolly with a convincing 21-7, 21-14 win in the first semifinal, while Krishna overcame a stiff challenge from Harshil Shah before securing his final berth with a 21-14, 19-21, 21-12 victory. Monisha Vinayak will battle Saumya Padhye for the women’s crown.

Monisha, despite losing the first game, fought back to defeat Jacqueline Rose Kunnath 7-21, 21-15, 21-15 and Saumya notched up a 21-19, 21-19 victory of Ruth Misha V. Earlier, Saumya teamed up with Guruprasad to clinch the mixed doubles crown after defeating Ruth Misha V and Sanjeeth J 26-24, 21-11 in the title round.
