<p><br />The Special Lokayukta Court on Tuesday referred a private complaint alleging evasion of tax and import duty on high end luxury cars to the Lokayukta police. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The complaint had been filed by city-based advocate Jagadeesha B N who had alleged that officials from the transport and the customs departments were cheating the State government by helping car owners and dealers avoid tax and duty fees.<br /><br />Judge N K Sudhindra Rao directed the Lokayukta Superintendent of Police to constitute a team of four deputy superintendents of police and entrust the matter to it for investigation. The matter has been adjourned to September 5.<br /></p>
