<p> <br />Sericulture Minister Venkataramanappa, on Thursday, said in the last year the bonus was Rs 50 per kg of cocoons.<br /><br />The government had decided to increase it to Rs 100 from the present year, to encourage sericulture in Hyderbad-Karnataka region. <br /><br />Those women who take up sericulture in the Hyderbad-Karnataka region would get a support price of Rs 10 per kg of cocoon, while men would get Rs 5 per kg of cocoon.</p>
