City Crime Branch (CCB) police have been roped in to assist Devaraja police investigating into the attack on a Tibetan youth in the city recently.

What has stymied the investigation, according to police is the condition of Tenzi Dangeriyal, the Tibetan youth who was stabbed by two miscreants, on Tuesday night, near Dhanwantri road. The youth was operated to remove knife that had pierced through the abdomen.

Since then he has been advised rest and the doctors have asked the police not to disturb him. In addition to this, the police are still groping in the dark over the people who know him thus remaining clueless.

The investigators are vetting into all possible angles- personal or related to that of north east states. According to them, it may not be the fallout of the tension that erupted in Assam and spread to Pune and Mumbai.

Suspended

A draftsman attached to Mysore City Corporation (MCC) working as a manager at Sewage Farm in Vidyaranyapuram, has been suspended owing to dereliction of duty.

A release from the office of MCC commissioner stated that, during inspection on August 16, S Somalingaiah the manager of the farm was found to have erred by failing to take measures to arrest the overflowing sewage, besides addressing the grievances of cattle-rearers and also in the maintenance of the farm.
