Interviews for AIFF and I-League posts deferred

With the All India Football Federation acting president Praful Patel busy with the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the interview for the posts of AIFF general secretary and I-League Chief Executive has been deferred and is likely to be held mid next month.

The AIFF Executive Committee in its meeting last month had decided to hold the interview of the candidates for the two posts on September 23 or 24 but now it has been deferred and a new date will be fixed soon. Outgoing general secretary Alberto Colaco said: “The interviews could not take place as Patel was busy with the Maharashtra Elections. Patel wants to be present for the interviews along with other members,”
