The University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) has invited proposals for the taluk-level best youth farmer and farm woman awards from each of the 17 southern districts in the purview of its administration.
Applications have also been invited for the CORP awards, sponsored by Corporation Bank to be conferred on a farmer and a farm woman from the 17 southern districts. The award carries a purse of Rs 10,000 with a citation.
The prescribed application forms can be obtained from the assistant director of agriculture of their respective taluk/Krishi Vignan Kendras/Extension Education Units, the office of the director of Extension, UAS, Hebbal, or from the website: www.uasbangalore.edu.in. The filled-in applications should be submitted to the assistant director of agriculture of their respective taluks on or before October 10.
