Labourer killed on the spot as trailer topples in Chintamani

Police have given thename of the deceased as Venkatesh (40), a resident of Julapalya
The accident occurred as the front tyre of the tractor, which was  proceeding from Kagati to Chintamani got punctured as a result of which the vehicle toppled.

Woman killed

A woman was killed as a two-wheeler rammed into her at Tulvanur village in the taluk on Friday. Police have given the name of deceased as Chowdamma (30). She succumbed to the grievous injuries during the course of treatment. The body was handed over to the relatives after postmortem.

A motorcyclist was killed on the spot as an unidentified vehicle rammed into the the two-wheeler he was riding, near Hirepalya on Chintamani-Bangalore road, on Wednesday night. Police have identified the deceased as Manjunath (38). Pillion rider Devaraj has sustained grievous injuries. The offending vehicle has fled the spot soon after the accident, police said.

Police have registered cases in respect of all the three incidents.
