CM's two-day visit to city begins today

Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar’s packed two-day visit to city will begin on August 28. He will fly in an helicopter from Bangalore and land at the Lalitha Mahal helipad at 3.45 pm.

He will dedicate the 7.5 km road from Colombia Asia hospital junction to Bannur road junction built by the Mysore Urban Development Authority at 4 pm. He will reach the Government Guest House at 4.30 pm and leave for Kalamandira at 5 pm to participate in the Mysore City Corporation’s 150th anniversary function and return to the guest house for a night halt.

Day two

On August 29 at 8.45 am he will perform the bhoomi pooja for the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan at the Nallapattana police station premises on Diwans’Road.
He will release a booklet and honour the dignitaries and then move to Paduvarhalli where he will perform another bhoomi pooja at 9.15 am for the construction of Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram bhavan and release a booklet and honour the achievers.

At 9.45 am the chief minister will perform one more bhoomi pooja for the construction of Maharishi Valmiki Bhavan at Vijayanagar, release a booklet and honour achievers.
He will proceed to Yelwal village and inaugurate the drinking water scheme to Yelwal and 52 surrounding villages at 10 am.

From there he will move to the district stadium where he will launch the construction work for an international standard swimming pool at 10.15 am.

For Suttur

Shettar will leave for Suttur math where he will participate in the 97th birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Shivarathri Rajendra swamiji at 10.30 am. After this event, he will drive to Kalamandira where he will distribute sites to the MUDA allottees at 12 noon and at 1.30 pm he will honour mediapersons at a function organised by Mysore District Journalists Association.

Finally, he will participate in a function organised by Nataraja Educational institutions and reach the Lalitha Mahal helipad at 3.45 pm to fly back to Bangalore.
